Load Cellfire coupons Here!

GREAT NEWS! You can now load cellfire.com e-coupons to your Kroger/Dillons card directly from this site. You can use this link here or the widget found in the sidebar on the right.

Cellfire.com is actually very easy to use! All you do is click on the above link or the widget and you will be taken to a page with e-coupons on it. Simply click the coupons you would like to load to your card and you will be asked to clarify if you do in fact want to save them. If you have never signed up for cellfire.com before the site will then ask you to register with your cell phone number and Kroger/Dillons card. You do not have to recieve coupons on your cell phone in order to sign up for this program!

It is so easy and I have saved a lot of money using this program! Cellfire coupons are updated every 2 weeks. If there is a new coupon up that you want to save be sure to do so immediately. Once the new cycle of coupons post you will not be able to save the previous coupons.

I hope you find cellfire.com to be a great service to you. Please feel free to comment or email me questions regarding this program. I would love to help you save MORE!

Save Money by Shopping Garage Sales

Below is a copy of the post you can also find on TopekaKidsRock.com today. Be sure to head on over there for all the events happening around Topeka this weekend!

Save Money by Shopping Garage Sales

If you have lived in Topeka long enough you may have discovered that people in this city love to hold garage sales. On the other hand people in this city also LOVE to shop garage sales. It is a hobby to many, especially us "frugal" folks.

Going to garage sales is a great way to save money on many items! For me personally, and probably for many other young mommies, garage sales are a great way to save A LOT of money on children's clothing, toys, and baby gear. Many others garage sale for used furniture, appliances and antiques. Whatever you are need of you can probably find it at a garage sale!

I mention the idea of saving money by garage saleing because of the fact that one of the most popular Topeka neighborhood garage sales is going on this weekend! The specific neighborhood wide garage sale I am referring to is the Lake Sherwood garage sales. Many houses located in Lake Sherwood and the surrounding area will be participating this coming Friday and Saturday (17th and 18th). Most of these sales will start at 8:00 a.m., but some may start earlier. In fact, a few of the sales may start as early as Thursday evening!

A great place to find out about garage sales happening around Topeka is the The Topeka Capital Journal on-line and look in the garage sale section under the classifieds. Be sure to also check Craigs List as well.

Below are a few garage sale shopping tips my friend that I consider a pro has suggested:
  • If you are looking for something specific shop early.
  • Set a budget for yourself so you don't over spend. Since things are priced so low it is easy to want to buy items you may not need.
  • Look for items that you can re-sell on ebay or craigslist. The easiest items would be name brand clothing that is in good shape.
  • Don't be afraid to barter. Nothing has a set price at a garage sale and often the seller might be willing to negotiate.
I hope you have a great Thursday and don't forget that Hy-Vee's 3 day sale starts TODAY!
