CVS deals for the week of June 15

It is not a great week at CVS... but there are some good deals to be had! Check out all other great CVS deal plans here. Here is my plan for the week:

1 Sally Hansen Quick nail color is 7.99 (get back 5EB)
2 Oral B Cross action or stages power toothbrush is 5.99 (get back 3 EB)

1 Almay one coat mascara is 6.99 (get back 5 EB)

Total after buying all 3 of these would be 26.96. Find 3.04 worth of fillers- for me personally I will throw in some trash bags because we are in need. You might however throw in some candy if you are working on the candy deal for the week or buy another EB producing item. I have hit the limit on most monthly EB deals (the good ones) so that is why I am not including one.

So your total come to around $30 (depending on your filler)
-5/30 coupon recieved in email
-2/1 Sally Hansen coupon
-1/1 Almay coupon
-BIGI free Oral B coupon (5.99 in value, due to come out in tomorrow's paper)
total =16.01 and get back 16 in EB! (you can make your EB count higher if your filler is another EB producing item!)

Free Admission to the Zoo today!

Today after 12:30 p.m. you can get into the Topeka Zoo FREE!  check out details at wibw.com

Free Movie ticket!

This week in Crystal's post about Wal-Mart deals she mentions this:

Dr. Pepper 2 Liter bottles - on sale $1
Use $1/2 coupon
here
(Register, then at the bottom of the screen you'll see "Need a code?", a code will be sent to your email address, then when entered you will be directed to print the coupon.)
$0.50 each after coupon (Thanks, Wendy!)

A good friend of mine signed up to print her coupon and in the process she also won a free movie ticket!  Maybe you will too...
Note: not everyone will win, but it is worth a shot!

Weekly Trip

I only shopped at Dillon's this week.  It is the closest to my house and I was able to get most of what I needed.  When I do my weekly CVS run I may stop by our Hy-Vee for a few good deals I spotted.  Be sure to check out all Dillon's deals for the week here and go here for other great shopping trips posted by others at Money Saving Mom. Also don't forget to check out the coupons.com top and side bar widgets for any printable coupons you may need for the week!

Note: MS means Manager Special.  This is for items that are possibly close to expiration.

One stop shop!

For your convenience I have added printable coupon banners to my blog. You will notice a banner up top, on the right, and down at the bottom.   These banners are sponsored by coupons.com. You will find all the coupons of coupons.com right here on this blog.  All you have to do is click on the "see all coupons" tab and it will show you a list of coupons available for print.  Check the ones you want, hit print and you are ready to save!  I personally find this much easier than thumbing through 8 tabs on the regular site in order to get the coupons you want.  If you like to see the picture that goes with the product then just click on the "coupons" icon you will see at the lower right corner of the box and it will take you directly to the site. I do hope you find this feature helpful and useful!

K.C. Star going up in price

I bought my weekly copy of the K.C. Star Sunday paper last week and realized that they are now charging $2.00 per paper every week instead of $1.50 for areas outside of the 5 county metro.  So if you would like to save money on the Star be sure to look into ordering it online.  Check out the rates here.  It is still only 25.74 for a 26 week delivery of Friday, Saturday and Sunday's paper!

Burger King and K-Mart

I was informed today that inside Burger King kids meals there is a $5.00 off coupon for any toy over $20 at K-Mart!!

Free After Rebate Listerine Smart Rinse

Money Saving Mom posted this comment by a reader today:
Shari emailed in:

I couldn't find the rebate tear offs for the Listerine Smart Rinse (free after ECBs at CVS this month) so I called Johnson and Johnson at their customer service number (1-888-222-0182) and asked them to mail me a rebate form. The said they could do better than that--they asked for my name and address and said I'd have my rebate check for $3.89 in 7-10 days!! Thought I'd pass this along

I called this number to see what would happen and I did get to customer service and they told me they would just send me a $5 coupon for the product!  Too bad I already bought my limit for the month at CVS or I could have put together a really good deal, but since the coupon is enough to get me another free bottle- I'll take it!

Do you love shopping at Wal-Mart?

If you love shopping at Wal-Mart be sure to check out Crystal's post here about the great deals you can get this week!

Also don't forget that Wal-Mart does price match.  Meaning if you find something at Wal-Mart that you could get for a better price at Dillon's (or any other grocery store) just take in the store ad (of the store that has the better price) and they will gladly give you the better price.  I know one mommy who does an excellent job of price matching at Wal-Mart and has it down to a science!  So if you love Wal-Mart because it is your one stop I would suggest trying price matching and save even more money!

Weekly Menu Plan

Here is the menu plan for the week.  I had planned fajitas last week but we ended up with so many leftovers that we just had a left over night instead, so fajitas got moved to this week.  My posts for breakfast and lunch will be about the same every week since we tend to cycle through the same meals for those times.  Be sure to go here for other menu/recipe ideas

Breakfast: Unfortunately in this house there are not many options.
Frozen pancakes (made from scratch and then frozen) and fruit (whatever I bought for the wee
Oatmeal with fruit
Cold cereal (if you coupon long enough you will never run out of cereal!)

Lunch:
Leftovers
Meat and cheese sandwhich
Grilled cheese sandwhich
PB & J sandwhich
All lunches are usually served with raw veggies (whatever was on sale for the week), fruit, and crackers/chips (again whatever is on sale/in the house)

Dinner:
Sunday:  dinner with my parents
Monday: Fajitas/chips and salsa/corn  and some fresh pineapple  (recipe for fajitas is from a book called The Schwarzbein Principle)
Tuesday:  Cheeseburger Pie/steamed broccoli/bread  (go here for the cheeseburger pie recipe)
Wednesday: Mexican casserole/green beans/bread  (I got this from an e-book that I received when I signed up to take Crystal's super market savings course)
Thursday: Salsa Chicken with rice/bread/fruit (this recipe is from nestle good start, you can find it here)
Friday:  Pepperoni pizza/raw veggies  (I kind of made this up... the crust recipe is from Crystal, again you can get it when you purchase her super market savings course)
Saturday:  No meal planned... I do always have something on hand for a quick meal

Be sure to go here if you would like to see what I was able to buy during my weekly grocery trip- I saved 75%!
